Dear Camp Zoe fans,
I am writing to tell you how you can help Save Camp Zoe. We need your help in two ways: We need you to raise money to defend Camp Zoe and Jimmy Tebeau, and we need your activism.
Defend Camp Zoe
While the government uses unjust forfeiture laws to prevent Jimmy Tebeau from using his hard-earned money and property from defending himself in an unjust criminal prosecution, Jimmy needs your financial support. If you have not already done so, commit to making a monthly donation to support his legal defense at www.CampZoe.com
Support Americans for Forfeiture Reform
Americans for Forfeiture Reform is the only organization in America that is solely devoted to fighting for the rights of Americans victimized by America’s Soviet-style asset forfeiture laws. Many of you have expressed gratitude and appreciation for our work advocating on behalf of Camp Zoe, but this is not enough. We need your donations to continue our work. Please commit to making a monthly donation at www.forfeiturereform.com.
If you do not have the money to make a donation to Camp Zoe or to Americans for Forfeiture Reform, please spread this message to those who can. Post this letter on your Facebook walls, on your blogs, and forward this as a letter to your friends. Without being able to raise money, we will not be able to save Camp Zoe.
Get active. Call our elected representatives today to ask for action.
Please call the offices of US Senator Roy Blunt (202-224-5721) and US Senator Claire McCaskill (202-224-6154) and leave a message:
- We regard the seizure of Camp Zoe as a manifest injustice by rich and powerful law enforcement agencies who do not obey the law.
- We ask you to stand up for the rights of Jimmy Tebeau and other American forfeiture victims by opening investigations into the conduct of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and other federal agencies that make their money and pay their salaries by seizing property from victims.
We need you to call our Senators today. If you cannot call today, please call tomorrow. And keep calling. Call every day and every week that Jimmy Tebeau is not free to play shows at Camp Zoe. Our elected representatives need to hear our voice.
We dare to speak up and challenge the wanton piracy and criminal intent of America’s most powerful and corrupt mafia: the Department of Justice. Without your support, we will not succeed. Please read this letter carefully and take action.
Sincerely,
Eapen Thampy
Executive Director, Americans for Forfeiture Reform
